🎀 A New Holiday Quilt Block Is Here!
I’m so excited to introduce my newest pattern — the Merry Little Bow Tree quilt block! This design has been living in my sketchbook for weeks, and I finally get to share it with you just in time for the holiday sewing rush.

If you’ve been following along on Instagram or TikTok, you know I’ve been working on a cute bow-topped tree block that’s beginner-friendly, scrap-friendly, and quick enough to sew in an evening. Today it’s officially available in the shop!
🌲 What Makes the Merry Little Bow Tree Special?
This block combines two things I love:
playful modern aesthetics + simple construction.
You’ll use:
- easy half-square triangles
- classic nine-patch construction
- beginner stitch-and-flip corners
- clear pressing diagrams to keep everything crisp
It’s the kind of block that looks impressive but doesn’t require advanced skills. Perfect for beginners who want to try something cute and seasonal!
✨ Perfect for Quick Holiday Makes
One block finishes at 16.5″ × 14.5″, which means you can use it for:
- a table runner
- a pillow cover
- a festive mini quilt
- stocking panels
- placemats
- or even a full quilt made from repeated blocks
It’s versatile, fast, and adorable in traditional Christmas reds and greens or in modern, bright color palettes.
🎨 Scrap-Friendly + FQ Friendly
You only need:
- one 8″ × 8″ scrap for the bow
- one fat quarter for the tree
- one fat eighth for the background
If you have leftover holiday scraps, this is SUCH a fun way to use them.
📥 Instant PDF Download
Like all Quilty Amiga patterns, this is a digital PDF download with:
- step-by-step diagrams
- clear cutting charts
- pressing guidance
- and a coloring page
Everything is written clearly and designed to help beginners feel confident.
